The Fire and Ice events in Copenhagen will be a platform of music and dance to celebrate Humanity's commitment to change so that they can begin to meet the challenge of climate change. It will be a powerful way to reach the hearts and minds of people in attendance and through broadcast.
"While science, environmentalists and politicians convene to establish a new agreement, to carry on after Kyoto expires in 2012, a complimentary forum will take place that will focus on Science and Politics meeting Spirit," said Bente Milton from Fire and Ice.
"The concert will be the culmination of a two day forum that will see Ancient Wisdom meeting Modern Science to address climate change from the human perspective. Danish Broadcasting has agreed to let us use the new Concert hall in Copenhagen - including the National Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Quires etc. It is our ambition to have the show transmitted live - via the EBU network to around 20 million viewers!" she added.
The concert hall is quite an amazing place, designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel. Inspired by Peter Høeg’s novel Miss Smilla’s Feeling for Snow, Nouvel has shaped the centre hall as a meteor melted into a block of ice.

Presently the Copenhagen Summit Panel is considering the inclusion of the concert in the official program of the COP15 Summit. It is the goal of a committed group of international filmmakers, environmentalists, scientists and Elders to make this event a success. It is their common belief that the Human element of climate change must be addressed on the world stage. Music and dance will provide a powerful way to awaken hearts and bring a new message of hope and renewal.
Artists, politicians, scientists, environmentalists who are truly engaged in human rights and environmental issues, are needed to join our group and help us promote the idea through your personal and professional network.
We need to move fast, so please let us know as soon as possible if this could be of interest to you.
We look forward to hearing from you!
